Cranswick wins Supplier of the Year Award for its supply of Freedom Food products into the OSI/McDonalds supply chain. The award is presented to the highest performing pork supplier based performance on every delivery made over the full year. Peter Mitchell said “I am really pleased that Cranswick Norfolk are the OSI 2014 “Pork Supplier of the Year” It reflects the sites contribution to consistently achieving the high standards we expect from our suppliers. Well done to the Norfolk team!”
Congratulations to both Cranswick teams - the Riverside Runners and the Cranswick Cruisers - who succesfuly completed the 2015 Asda Elan Valley Charity SAS Challenge last weekend! The eight Cranswick employees described the challenge as "incredibly tough" - and although they didn't win the challenge - they both completed the arduous course in time……..and the Cranswick Cruisers achieved the second fastest canoe time out of the 30 plus teams! All the completing teams received a finishing patch.
Good luck to our fearless Cranswick colleagues who are taking part in the Asda Elan Valley Charity Challenge 2015 this weekend! Tomorrow morning (16/05/15) eight Cranswick employees will join more than 30 teams in one of the toughest challenges in the UK based around the Elan Valley in Wales. The aim is for a team to complete a challenging 7-mile walk across the renowned mountain range, followed by a 2-mile canoe race. The next phase will test competitor’s metal with an aerial tree climb before taking on a 26-mile bike ride.

The 6th annual awards celebrate, reward and recognise greatness in the UK pig and poultry sectors and were presented on Thursday 30th April at the London Marriott County Hall in Westminster. The Processor of the Year category highlights businesses who process pork, poultry meat and egg products in synergy with the wider food chain and who build on good relationships, sound business principles and aims to work with producers from the UK.

The Meat & Poultry Processing Awards 2015 were held at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on 26 February 2015. Following a vote by a panel of industry peers, Cranswick was awarded the ‘Environmental Initiative of the Year’ for the second year running. The 2015 entry was based on the commitment to introduce energy saving technologies at two of the group’s processing sites. Cranswick was named Listed Business of the Year last night at a glittering ceremony at Leeds’ Queens Hotel for the 2015 Business Masters Awards. The awards celebrate the achievements of some of the most successful and innovative businesses in Yorkshire – and saw 33 different businesses appear on the shortlist for the 10 awards. Cranswick was shortlisted into three categories: Manufacturer (Large), Exporter (Large) and Listed Business – and came away with the final prized award. The awards dinner was hosted by the BBC's Damian Johnson in front of a packed audience. Adam Couch, Cranswick’s Chief Executive, commented: “As a business we are absolutely delighted to receive this award. It gives recognition to the hard work and dedication from the thousands of employees at Cranswick, working as one team".

Cranswick has won a distinguished award at the annual Yorkshire and Humber China Business Awards. The 2015 awards were held in Leeds on Tuesday (17th February) to celebrate the trade links between Yorkshire and China. The event is a central part of the Yorkshire and Humber Chinese New Year Business Dinner at Leeds' Civic Hall. This year there were three categories at the China Business Awards – one to recognise long-term experience and commitment to China, an award for a business just starting out in China and the final one for an established business.
Cranswick has been awarded a high rating in the recent Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) report. The UK based food company was placed within tier 1, demonstrating that it is seen to have animal welfare ‘integral to business strategy’. This is the highest grading awarded to any company in the pork production sector, with all competitors being placed within tiers 3-6.
Monday, 19 January 2015 Cranswick Country Foods has flown the flag for UK food and drink as part of a ground-breaking trade trip to China with South West Norfolk MP and Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss. Last week’s trip pursued new opportunities for UK producers to sell to Chinese consumers, giving companies like Cranswick Country Foods, which has a base in Norfolk, greater access to China’s valuable specialist food market—expected to be worth £39bn this year.
