Cranswick is proud to announce their first Climate Transition Plan - available here.
The plan sets out how Cranswick will transition into a Net Zero food production business. It has been developed in line with the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) disclosure recommendations and the TPT food and beverage sector guidance. It also coincides with Cranswick's updated and validated Science-Based Targets, which now align with the Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTi) Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) guidance. Read more about this here.
These structured action plans detail how an organisation will reduce its carbon footprint, adapt its operations, and align its strategy with ambitious global climate goals such as the Paris Agreement. It integrates Science-Based Targets, financial planning and ESG governance with changes required across existing assets, operations and the wider value chain. The purpose is to set out actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen resilience to climate-related risks and future-proof an organisation to a Net Zero world.
Adam Couch, Chief Executive Officer, Cranswick plc commented: “I am pleased to introduce Cranswick’s first Climate Transition Plan. This represents a significant development in Second Nature and reinforces our intent to help shape a more secure, sustainable and resilient food system for the future.”
Adam Bower, Head of Sustainability, Cranswick plc said: “This transition plan focuses on practical actions that lower emissions, support our supply chain and drive long-term sustainability across our food system.”
