Recognising Craft and Commitment: National Butchers' Week

This National Butchers’ Week, we’re celebrating the skill and dedication of our butchers across Cranswick — and highlighting the achievements of someone who has played a major role in developing butchery excellence within our business.

Paul, our Butchery Training Supervisor, has been part of Cranswick for an incredible 35 years. Throughout his career, he has supported and developed countless colleagues, passing on the craft, precision, and care that define high‑quality butchery. His contribution to the industry was formally recognised when he received the prestigious Master Butchers Award, a title held by only 97 butchers in the UK.

National Butchers’ Week is a reminder of just how important this craft is. At Cranswick, our butchers bring expertise, consistency, and pride to their work every day. Their knowledge and attention to detail underpin the quality of our products and are essential to the success of our business.

We want to thank all of our butchers across Cranswick for the commitment you bring to your roles. Your skill and passion make a real difference, and we’re extremely proud of everything you do.

As part of this celebration, you can hear from Paul and two of our butchery apprentices, Ashton and Luca, below as they share their experiences and what butchery means to them.
