We are looking for an HGV driver with a current C+E (class1) license and valid driver CPC card.

We want someone who is as proud and committed to our brand as we are. You will be transporting feed or our livestock around the East Anglia region. Animal welfare is critical in this position, therefore previous relevant experience is desirable, however full training can and will be provided where necessary.  CPC training will be paid when necessary.

The job is Monday to Friday and you need to be flexible with your hours as there will be some early starts, however there will be no nights out.

Location: Cranswick Gourmet Sausage (Lazenby's) - Hull

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 Driver and Stores Operative to ensure the timely, safe and efficient transfer of goods in and out of the site.  Working on a 4on/4off shift pattern 6.00am to 6.15pm.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Unloading of delivery vehicles and transferring goods to their designated storage area
  • Ensuring all goods in the warehouse are routinely checked
  • Checking documentation is accurate and complete
  • Raising any discrepancies to the Stores Supervisor
  • Routinely check the vehicles and report any issues
  • Check product is correct and booked accurately on to the system
  • Counting stock in factory and replenishing to required stock levels
  • Delivering and putting away factory stock in designated area
  • Keep all areas clean and tidy
  • Drive the Lazenby’s vehicle to various other sites in the country for deliveries and collections

The successful candidate must:

  • Possess valid car and Class 2 HGV driving licences
  • Possess Valid CPC and tachograph cards
  • Possess good communication skills with excellent levels of written and spoken English
  • Be flexible, organized and efficient
  • Counterbalance and reach truck licences are an advantage but not essential.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player, who can work accurately and efficiently to tight deadlines, in what can be a pressurized, but highly rewarding role. The role is to plan the daily production schedule, manage and plan resources to deliver the daily plans in order to hit productivity and customer service targets.

Brief main duties

  • Set the Daily Production Plan based on target throughput figures whilst taking into account any product life or line restrictions and overall efficiency of the Factory

  • To collate sales orders and forecast data to assist Material Schedulers and to adjust the plan accordingly to account any material or capacity constraints

  • Entering the production requirement onto the MRP system (Formix), ensuring 100% accuracy, in order to support the production plans

  • Schedule the lines within the Packing Hall to ensure the most efficient plan is presented, in order to hit pull out times for deliveries to the customer

  • Work alongside the Material Scheduler to ensure all materials are used within life constraints

  • Provide daily updates to the Management team on plan attainment, orders v forecast, issues and other kpi’s

  • Raise and adjust customer orders in the absence of the Finance Team

  • Work alongside Production Team to ensure plan attainment is monitored and amended as and when necessary

Summary

An opportunity has arisen for the above role holder to maintain the feed mill and equipment to meet the site operational needs whilst keeping these in safe working order. Working in accordance to Technical, Quality and Health and Safety Standards.

Main duties include:

  • Reactive and proactive maintenance of site machinery, equipment and systems.
  • Daily completion of the Engineering work log.
  • Ensure work orders are completed within the required time scale.
  • Carrying out PPM work in accordance to the monthly schedule.
  • Maintaining high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Ensuring the Engineering Workshop and areas of work are maintained to a high level of housekeeping.
  • Working within all Technical, Health and Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.

  • Sourcing part numbers and communicating parts / materials required in a time efficient manner to the relevant person.

  • Maintaining good inter-departmental relationships.

Candidate requirements:

  • Electrical engineering experience with mechanical engineering knowledge
  • Educated to GCSE ”0” Level standard or equivalent within a engineering discipline

Main duties include:

A requirement has arisen for a QA Team Leader, working at our Cranswick Country Foods Poultry site near the Sutton Fields Trading Estate, Hull;

The role will include the following:

  • Supervise and manage the QA staff on a day to day basis
  • Undertake to ensure that all new starters are given full and sufficient training and that existing QA staff are given ongoing training and development where necessary.
  • Ensure that the process of manufacture is audited against the agreed standards
  • Provide a quality audit function to the factory
  • Ensure that the Cranswick traceability system is correctly operated through all stages of production manufacture from raw material intake to finished product despatch.
  • Ensure raw materials arriving in the department are of a specified quality and standard.
  • Issue the Technical Manager with a daily summary of non-conformance incidents that have arisen and any other information required.
  • Competent in the operation and programming of all relevant machinery and the maintenance of equipment such as calibration for example.
  • Assist the with customer site visits and other third party audits.
  • Attend daily meetings with the Technical Manager and the Assistant Technical Manager where necessary.
  • Responsibility for complaints investigation and KPI data collection.
  • Root Cause Analysis for Non-conformances and Complaints.

Your excellent stakeholder management skills will enable you to successfully liaise with different departments to ensure smooth running of projects, as well as effectively liaising with external contractors so as to ensure full compliance with agreed risk assessments and method statements.
