QA Technician
Gourmet Kitchen is our new state-of-the-art facility in Hull, supplying high quality cooked product to a number of market leading customers. We are looking to grow our team and recruit a QA Technician.
Salary: £14.28 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 6:30-15:00
The main purpose of a QA Technician role will be to monitor quality system compliance and effectiveness through planned audits and independent process control checks to ensure that products comply with legislative, key company & customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities of a QA Technician:
- Monitoring quality system compliance through regular checks / audits
- Performing independent process control checks
- Reporting any system failures to the relevant department managers in a timely manner, so that corrective action can be taken promptly
- Understanding the implications of food safety failures and reporting any issues
- Working with all departments to support in the completion and getting to route cause of non-conformances.
- Completing verification audits across all process systems and documents through the sites paperless system.
- Conducting GMP, CCP and procedure challenges on a weekly basis
- Covering key tasks during the absence of key staff within the technical department
- Collecting various samples (i.e. shelf life, nutritional, swabs) according to customer / legislative requirements and established sample schedule.
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum Food Safety Level 2
- Minimum HACCP Level 2
- Experience within Quality Assurance / Control, preferably within a High Risk Food Industry
