Cranswick Continental Bury & Worsley

In 1983, the Continental Fine Foods import business was founded supplying whole charcuterie joints and salami to the wholesale market and independent delicatessens; over the years the business evolved into further processing to be able to provide product and pack formats relevant to the UK consumer and was acquired by Cranswick in 2001.

As the business expanded we outgrew our processing sites in Trafford Park and in 2018 moved to a brand new, £28m purpose built site.  Since moving to the site we have continued to invest, driving the site’s efficiency, flexibility and sustainability. In addition to the Bury facility, we opened a new site located in Worsley to support growth in this category.

We have breadth of specialist experience in our markets and supply chains with a proven track record in continental sourcing, technical standards management across our continental producer partners and product development relevant to the UK consumer.

Our Continental team is strongly insight-driven, working on new product development on-site and across Europe, to create exciting products that are relevant to UK consumers.
