Listed Business of the Year Award

Cranswick was named Listed Business of the Year last night at a glittering ceremony at the Leeds’ Queens Hotel for the 2015 Business Masters Awards.

The awards celebrate the achievements of some of the most successful and innovative businesses in Yorkshire – and saw 33 different businesses appear on the shortlist for the 10 awards. Cranswick was shortlisted into three categories:

Manufacturer (Large), Exporter (Large) and Listed Business – and came away with the final prized award.

The awards dinner was hosted by the BBC's Damian Johnson in front of a packed audience.

Adam Couch, Cranswick’s Chief Executive, commented: “As a business we are absolutely delighted to receive this award. It gives recognition to the hard work and dedication from the thousands of employees at Cranswick, working as one team.

“Our story started out in farming and although our beginnings were humble, our ambitions were not. Today, Cranswick is one of the largest food producers in Britain and we have an ever growing international export trade. This award is important to us as we continue to produce the best and push our business forward.”

Alex Turner, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire, said: "It was a fantastic night which highlighted the range of excellent businesses operating across our region.

"We received a record number of entries for the awards which was reflected in the quality of the shortlisted companies and each winner can be justifiably proud of their achievements."

The winners and shortlists were selected by a judging panel which included previous winners Keith Loudon of Redmayne-Bentley, Daniel Gill of Dine and Alan Paterson of Premier Farnell, alongside the Bank of England's Will Holman and Mark Robson from UK Trade and Investment.

The evening was organised in conjunction with Out There Events and supported by our sponsors, Brewin Dolphin, Hays Recruitment, KPMG and Leeds Beckett University.
