Cranswick Successfully Complete More Together Challenge

Cranswick have raised over £13,500 for various local charities following their completion of the More Together charity initiative. Cranswick teams have participated in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, Total Warrior obstacle race and the Humber Bridge Family Walk & Fun Day.

On Sunday 9th July, over 300 people gathered at Hesslewood Hall to embark on the last event in charity project’s calendar. The ongoing initiative, which has inspired over 18 local Hull based businesses to work together to raise money for local charities, finally culminated in a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge and Family Fun Day.

Emma Hardy, MP for Hull West and Hessle, who cut the ceremonial ribbon at the start line, announced, “I am always eager to open events like this one today. It is great to see this project raising money for great causes whilst also encouraging each other to lead fit and healthy lifestyles”.

As walkers returned from the Humber Bridge, family and friends were invited to enjoy a host of funfair rides, street food, face painting and music from KCFM to celebrate their final fundraising efforts.
