Cranswick Inspires Future Generations at Schools Food and Farming Days

Representatives from Cranswick enjoyed a fantastic couple of days at this year’s Schools Food and Farming event, held at Driffield Showground – a fantastic opportunity to engage with young people from across East Yorkshire and inspire the next generation of food industry talent.

The first day of the event saw over 1,500 primary school children welcomed onto the Showground, with groups visiting the Cranswick stand for an interactive session on food production – and some lively discussions about their favourite dishes - before trying samples of Cranswick sausages, cooked up by the Ladies in Pigs team.

This was followed by a Countryside Careers evening the next day, giving 14-18 year old's the opportunity to discover the wide range of career paths available within the rural & food sectors, including the many opportunities available at Cranswick from work placements to Apprenticeship programmes and Graduate schemes.
