CRANSWICK AWARDED CDP GRADE C ON JOURNEY TO ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP

At Cranswick, we have been working hard to take climate action. To go faster and galvanize our low carbon transition we have again disclosed to the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) on our journey to environmental leadership.

The CDP submission includes responses on governance, risk, disclosure, strategy, targets, emissions reduction initiatives and value chain engagement. We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a CDP grade C.

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for companies to manage their environmental impacts. By scoring businesses from A to D, organisations are taken on a journey  through disclosure to awareness, management, and finally to leadership. In 2018, the process was evolved to update the scoring methodology in response to market needs and the rising urgency of the environmental challenges the world faces.

The CDP is a comprehensive assessment of global data undertaken on behalf of more than 800 institutional investors representing US$100 trillion. The data and insights given by CDP enable the investors to make better-informed decisions. We are all very pleased with the score as we continue on our journey to become the world’s most sustainable meat business.
