Cranswick announces acquisition of Blakemans

Cranswick is pleased to announce the acquisition of Blakemans, a well‐invested food service sausage manufacturer.

Blakemans is a leading manufacturer of specialist raw and cooked sausage products supplying the food service and manufacturing sector. The business operates from a site in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire and employs a team of 290 people who will join the Cranswick family.

The acquisition is complementary to Cranswick’s existing added-value Gourmet Kitchen business; adding capacity in raw and cooked sausage production whilst enabling efficient supply into the wider food service market.

The current owners, Phil Blakeman and Sue Cope will remain within the business and we look forward to welcoming them to Cranswick and working with them to develop the business further.
