We are pleased to announce that we have acquired the Buckle family’s pig farming and rearing operation as well as their 50% share of the White Rose Farms Limited pig production joint venture set up by Cranswick and the Buckle family in 2018. The enlarged business, to be known as White Rose Farms, specialises in the production of Red Tractor assured pigs in Yorkshire and will supply approx. 2,500 pigs per week into Preston.
With the acquisition of Packington Pork in December, which specialises in British free range and outdoor pigs, we now farm over 30% of our own pigs and this reinforces our commitment to a sustainable and traceable farm to fork operation. This new business will be headed up by Rick Buckle, who will be MD of White Rose Farms.
We have worked with the Buckle family for over 25 years and I am delighted to formally welcome Rick and the team to the business.
