Our team tackled a beach clean at Fraisthorpe Beach in conjunction with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust in support of the Great British Spring Clean and World Ocean Day.
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust run a project called Waves of Waste which supports volunteers in undertaking beach cleans across Yorkshire's coast. During each clean, all litter collected is recorded and fed into a database collected by Keep Britain Tidy and analysed to determine trends occurring. Many of us use our wonderful local beaches all year round and understand it forms a huge part of the economy in the East Yorkshire area, so this was a great opportunity to support several initiatives.
