WILL - COMMERCIAL GRADUATE

Will joined the business as a graduate in 2019 as part of our first intake onto the Commercial Graduate Scheme. Will studied a science-based degree at university, but had a desire to work in a fast-paced environment and pursue a commercially focused role.

In his first six months, Will worked in a range of business departments including; Farms, Operations, Planning, Technical and New Product Development. He was able to experience the scale of the business, from learning practical butchery skills within operations, to feeding piglets on farms and taking part in Christmas product benchmarking with our New Product Development teams.

Will started his Commercial rotation with a retailer account, where he was given experience and responsibility, enabling him to grow in confidence through dealing directly with customers. He was also involved in several fresh pork and sausage launches from product concept creation, through to launch on the supermarket shelf. Will is now working as a National Account Executive on multiple major retailer accounts.

“The scheme perfectly prepared me for this role, giving me vital experience and providing constant support from colleagues within commercial and the wider business".
