We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing Trainer to join our Learning & Development team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about people development, training and continuous improvement and who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Manufacturing Trainer, you will play an important role in developing the skills, knowledge and capability of our colleagues, helping them to perform their roles safely, effectively and to the highest standards.
About the Role
Working as part of the Learning & Development team, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of shop-floor and classroom-based training, supporting colleagues at all levels across the business.
You will build positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders, including operational teams, managers, team leaders and subject matter experts, ensuring training is aligned with business needs and operational requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging shop-floor and classroom-based training to colleagues across the manufacturing site.
- Supporting the onboarding and induction of new colleagues.
- Maintaining positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Working closely with managers and operational teams to identify training needs and development opportunities.
- Reviewing training and compliance data to identify gaps, trends and areas for improvement.
- Supporting the mapping of training needs against job roles, departments and business requirements.
- Maintaining accurate training records and ensuring colleagues remain compliant with required training.
- Managing and maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training records and learning activities are accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the creation, review and continuous improvement of training materials, presentations, assessments and learning resources.
- Working with Subject Matter Experts to ensure training content reflects current processes, legislation, standards and best practice.
- Supporting audits and compliance activities by ensuring training requirements and records are maintained effectively.
- Evaluating training effectiveness and identifying opportunities to improve the learner experience.
- Supporting wider Learning & Development initiatives and projects across the site.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering training within a manufacturing, operational or practical environment. However, we recognise that great trainers come from a range of backgrounds, and we are committed to developing the right person who has the attitude, communication skills and enthusiasm to succeed in the role.
You will have:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels.
- The confidence to deliver both classroom-based and practical/shop-floor training.
- Good organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to build positive and effective relationships with a wide range of people.
- A proactive approach to identifying learning and development needs and finding practical solutions.
- The ability to analyse information and identify training, competency and compliance gaps.
- Good IT skills and confidence using learning management systems and digital learning tools.
- A flexible approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are crucial to the role, and we are happy to consider candidates who do not currently hold all of these qualifications but are willing to complete them as part of their development (company funded).
- Level 3 Food Safety
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
- Subject Matter Expert training (Metal detection, Xray operations)
