Cranswick Country Foods Prepared Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. We are proud to have opened a brand new, purpose built, breaded chicken factory and have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, as a Technical Technologist.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Writing, updating and maintaining specifications for all customers ensuring that information provided are up to date
- Writing, updating and maintaining specifications for Raw materials when required
- Writing, updating and maintaining internal specifications ensuring that they reflect customer specifications
- Maintaining the electronic specification systems, along with Redzone specifications.
- Maintaining the filing system
- Supporting the Technical team with site visits / audits when required
- Play a central role in the Technical function providing administration and information to various departments
- Liaising with Suppliers and Cranswick sites to ensure the company standard is met and upheld
- Complete documentation and submit to customer in an accurate and timely manner
- Co-coordinating results from lab – nutritional analysis, cooking instructions etc.
- Liaise with NPD, Production, Site Technical and Group Technical Services to ensure all required information is ready and approved prior to submitting customer specifications.
- Have a general understanding of site processes and procedures so that specifications and questionnaires are accurately completed as required.
- Co-ordinate the approval of all site Artwork ensuring the correct team members approve the relevant information in a timely manner and completing the relevant paperwork.
- Ensure that all artwork and food labelling is legally compliant and meets customer requirements. Be involved in Label sign-off
The ideal successful candidate would be determined to maintain their own standards within the department of a brand new factory and be able to deliver results in a high pressure environment, whilst being able to be flexible and committed to ensure the successful launch of the factory. In return, the role will be rewarding and challenging, and expect to be developed within the role to succeed.
