Technical Specifications/Admin Support Technologist

Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm

(Based at Hull Poultry,Geneva Way , Hull)

We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. Working closely with customers, our bespoke chicken and turkey products offer creative and flavoursome lunchtime solutions, including street food-inspired dishes, superfood salads, hot and cold sandwiches and much more.

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Specifications Technologist within the Technical department at Cranswick Country Foods Poultry , Hull.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Writing and reviewing specifications for all customers ensuring that information provided are up to date
  • Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP).  Champion this within the department and the wider site.
  • Writing and reviewing internal specifications ensuring that they reflect customer specifications and aid generation Quality Contracts for M&S Products.
  • Export Certification on P2D and Customers systems
  • Aid Quality Manager to administer customer complaint data.
  • To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • To respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.
  • Writing and reviewing sites photographic standards
  • Approving Retail Labels as part of the approval team.
  • Supporting the Technical team with customer visits/site audits
  • Covering for the Technical Administrator in their absence and support paperless systems.
  • Compilation of weekly, monthly and quarterly site and retailer KPI reports
  • Completion of customer questionnaires
  • Undertake such ad hoc duties as may be required to benefit the business

Requirements, experience and person specification:

  • Experience of Retailer and B2B customer specifications systems
  • Must possess excellent PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams
  • Excellent level of literacy
