Technical Compliance Officer – A Shift (4 On 4 Off) (Based at Sutton Fields, Hull)

Summary
To monitor quality system compliance and effectiveness through planned audits and independent process control checks to ensure that our products comply with food safety legislation and meet the technical and quality specifications.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Completing validations including but not limited to thermal processing and cleaning. (including data interpretation & report writing)
- A member of the site internal audit team, completing audits inline with the sites audit calendar
- To complete assigned GMP / Hygiene audits inline with the site calendars
- To support in all external / 3rd party audits as required.
- Deputy contact for the site’s pest controller
- To review all site non-conformances.
- Drive compliance across the site
- Immediately reports any system failures to the relevant department so that corrective action can be taken promptly.
- Understands the implications of food safety failures and reports these to the Quality and/or the Technical Manager.
- Supervises corrective action to ensure that unsafe and/or sub-standard products are not dispatched to our customers.
Desired Applicant requirements, experience, and person specification (Training will be provided as required):
- Previous experience within a technical / quality role
- Thermal Processing Training
- Auditing Training
- Food Safety Level 4
- HACCP Level 4
- A good level of IT literacy (Including Excel)
- Willing to undergo further training and qualifications within the role.
