Job Overview

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to join our technical team in Sherburn in Elmet. Reporting directly to the QA Manager, you will provide support across the Technical and Quality functions, helping to maintain high standards of food safety, product quality and customer requirements across the site.This is a varied role that would suit someone who is organised, detail-focused, confident with data and enjoys working collaboratively with different teams.

Duties

  • Provide day-to-day support to the QA Manager and Factory Technical Manager.
  • Complete and maintain KPI reports and technical data.
  • Analyse data and identify emerging trends, sharing findings with the wider team.
  • Manage and host customer quality panels and taste panels.
  • Support complaint investigations and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Log and monitor customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Complete traceability exercises in line with internal schedules and customer or audit requirements.
  • Respond to customer queries relating to certification, policies and additional information.
  • Support customer visits and internal and external audits by preparing and collating relevant information.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork and technical documentation.
  • Update Quality Attribute Specifications (QAS) and distribute relevant changes to the factory.
  • Ensure technical equipment is calibrated in line with the required schedule.
  • Support the development and implementation of the site's paperless systems.
  • Complete projects assigned by the QA Manager and Factory Technical Manager.
  • Work closely with Planning, Production, NPD, Health & Safety, HR and Hygiene teams.
  • Carry out additional duties and projects in line with business requirements.
