Team Leader

Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen is supplying high quality cooked product to a number of market leading customers. The goal of our food manufacturing site, Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen, is to produce quality cooked food for market leading customers. As a team, we aim to create a culture where everything we do is to the highest possible standard and we are looking for like-minded individuals to be a part of this.

We are looking to recruit multiple Production Team Leaders to take responsibility for and oversee key areas within our production departments.

We currently have the following opportunities available:

  • Low Risk – Morning Shift (06:00–15:00)
  • Low Risk – Afternoon Shift (15:00–23:30)
  • High Risk – Afternoon Shift (15:00–23:30)

The ideal candidates will be ambitious, dedicated and dynamic Production Team Leaders who are looking to join a growing team and can motivate, engage and lead a team of operatives.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that product safety, quality and legality are achieved, while maintaining high standards and inspiring your team to strive for excellence. (A full job description is available upon request.)

Pay:
£15.27 per hour for day shift
£16.27 per hour for afternoon shift

Key Role & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate recording of yield, labour, efficiencies, waste and other key metrics are maintained and communicated to your team
  • Delivery of the daily production plan on time and in full
  • Assist the team with identifying areas of opportunity or support needed and liaise with management where appropriate
  • Attend regular management meetings, delivering KPI information and completing actions and escalating any issues which arise
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to problem solve and establish agreed solutions
  • Ensure compliance with key company and customer requirements and assist in audits

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Prior experience leading a team within the food industry (i.e. Team Leader, Line Leader or equivalent) is preferable
  • Ability to use IT systems, and be comfortable with running and understanding a paperless factory
  • Ability to lead, communicate and motivate a team
  • Be able to show initiative and good problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and health & safety principles
