Sup­ply Chain Plan­ning Assis­tant ( 7.30am ‑4.00pm )

Job purpose: to provide admin assistance to the planning team, and holiday cover to the materials scheduling and high risk planning teams.

Main purpose and responsibilities of the role

  • Management / control of the sites intake booking in system. agreeing and confirming time slots with suppliers. issue each day.
  • Update and distribute kpi’s and service updates.
  • Ensure gist are kept up to speed with the latest active sku lists – including any upcoming new sku’s.
  • Ensure plans are set and stable for the weekends.
  • Processing of any manual orders received or to send, along with ocado. also complete any po amends.
  • Complete the callovers to gist for m&s and ocado in a timely fashion, managing communication.
  • Check & challenge accordingly stock levels v projected.
  • Upload production orders for the following day – hr/sc/lr.
  • Learn the basics of the materials planner role, in order to provide cover / support when required.
  • Start to learn the basics of the high risk planner role in order to support and cover during holiday season.
  • Build and maintain sop’s for the sc planning assistant role.
  • Look for and drive to implement ci opportunities.
  • Support wider business projects and drives (such as the xmas program).

Requirements, experience and person specification:

  • Good business knowledge within cranswick and their systems
  • Good factory knowledge and relationships.
  • Group and site induction.
  • Level 2 h&s awareness.
  • Understanding of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
  • Willing to undergo training
