Stores Operative (Counterbalance FLT Driver)

4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00-18:00

38.5hrs average per week

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are on the look out for a Stores Operative who has a valid RTITB or ITSSAR accredited counterbalance forklift licence to work at our Riverside fresh pork facility.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Operating counterbalance forklift
  • Booking in deliveries as per site policy and procedure
  • To issue labels, trays etc. to the lines as required and update the system accordingly
  • Assist with stock checks as required
  • To maintain quality and traceability documentation
  • To keep the stores in a tidy and orderly way
  • Carry out training commensurate with the area including regular refresher/update training as and when required
  • Report any equipment defects immediately to the Stores Team Leader
  • Assist during internal / external audits as required
  • Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
  • Ensure that all statutory (industry guidelines), legal, food safety and integrity and customer requirements are met
  • Ensure adherence to all standards and processes relating to CCP monitoring, glass, complaints, label verifications and other paperwork in your department
  • Attend required training in line with current legislation, Health and Safety guidelines and changing departmental operations
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required and requested and understand that these duties may be in another department.

What We Look For:

  • Valid/in-date RTITB or ITSSAR accredited counterbalance licence
  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehousing/stores/yard role
  • Able to work to targets in a fast-paced, ambient temperature environment
  • Comfortable working to daily targets as part of a team
