QA Tech­ni­cian (M‑F Evenings)

We are looking to recruit a QA Technician to join our Technical Team. Acting as part of a hands-on Technical team, the main purpose of the role will be to monitor quality system compliance and effectiveness through planned audits and independent process control checks to ensure that products comply with legislative, key company & customer requirements.

Shift: Monday-Friday; 14:00-23:30

Pay Rate: £15.28 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring quality system compliance through regular checks/audits
  • Performing independent process control checks
  • Reporting any system failures to the relevant department managers in a timely manner, so that corrective action can be taken promptly
  • Understanding the implications of food safety failures and reporting any issues
  • Working with all departments to support in the completion and getting to route cause of non-conformances.
  • Completing verification audits across all process systems and documents through the sites paperless system.
  • Conducting GMP, CCP and procedure challenges on a weekly basis
  • Covering key tasks during the absence of key staff within the technical department
  • Collecting various samples (i.e. shelf life, nutritional, swabs) according to customer / legislative requirements and established sample schedule.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum Food Safety Level 2
  • Minimum HACCP Level 2
  • Experience within Quality Assurance / Control, preferably within a High Risk Food Industry
