This role is based at one of our flagship pork manufacturing sites, where recent investments have paved the way for cutting-edge logistics and operational improvements.
We are currently recruiting for a QA Operative to be responsible for carrying out all relevant quality checks, maintaining technical standards in line with legislation and customer requirements.
Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Conducting label / process control audits every 1-2 hours to ensure records are being completed correctly and at the right times as well as raising and issues at the time
- Conducting temperature verification checks (including sterilisers, hand washing stations, product, environmental)
- Ensure collection of chemical, microbiological and organoleptic samples in line with current schedules
- Conducting calibration checks and record the results
- Conducting pre-operational hygiene inspections and report any failings immediately
- Conducting GMP audits and fabrication to ensure any corrective actions required are communicated
- Conducting CCP verification relevant to the area being worked in and report any Non-Conformances
- Ensure closure of any non-conformances raised and proactive prevention of repetition
- Quality attribute assessments on finished product to the defined attributes and a specified frequency
- Completing raw material intake checks to ensure all product adheres to the specification
What We Look For:
- Experience in a similar role - QA / Technical / Experienced Production Operative
- Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (food manufacturing preferred but not essential)
- Strong level of attention to detail
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
