Job Description:

Exciting opportunities for QA Operatives for Cranswick Froch Foods (Leeds Site) have arisen.

Job Purpose:

The QA Operative is responsible for ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves conducting tests, identifying defects, and ensuring that products are free from errors before they reach the customer.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 16:00 (But flexible)

Job Context:

Reporting directly to the Factory Technical Manager, working alongside factory colleagues and key disciplines i.e., Planning, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Technical and Hygiene Departments.

You will be expected to demonstrate sound communication and organisational skills to achieve the planned production levels.

Main duties include:

· Conduct quality inspections on intake and through the factory

· Routine quality tests on products

· Identify compliance and non-compliance during intake and factory inspections

· Identify and document any defects or discrepancies during daily audits/ inspections

· Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are met

· Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, and other production activities

· Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures

· Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

· Paperless system implementation support to Technical team

Candidate requirements include:

Group and site induction

Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures

Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting

Proven experience in quality assurance or a similar role

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Familiarity with quality testing tools and techniques

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality assurance is a plus

Level 2 H&S awareness
