About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Technology Project Support professional to help drive the effective use of technology across the Cranswick Group. This role sits within a central Group IT project team, delivering technology‑based projects across multiple Cranswick sites throughout the UK. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, working directly within our food manufacturing operations. You will spend significant time on site, working with operational and technical teams to implement practical technology solutions, including process automation, reducing paper usage, improving data capture, and supporting system upgrades. During your first 12–18 months, you will gain broad exposure across the business before becoming permanently based at one of our sites as a key local contact for systems and technology.

About Cranswick

Cranswick is a large, complex, and growing UK food manufacturing business operating across 18 sites and supplying major retailers, food service, and international customers. Technology is central to how the business operates, from systems and automation on the factory floor to data, insight, and decision‑making across the Group. Significant ongoing investment in digital capability, process automation, and systems development means technology professionals play a key role in shaping how the business runs day to day. Key responsibilties include:

  • Support the implementation and delivery of key technology projects across Cranswick sites.
  • Work closely with site‑based operational teams to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology.
  • Assist with system setup, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Create clear project documentation, process flows, training materials, and user guides (including videos where required).
  • Train end users during project implementation and support adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to gather information and support successful project delivery.
  • Organise, attend, and participate in project and stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage individual workstream tasks and deadlines in line with overall project plans.
  • Travel frequently between UK sites, including overnight stays where required.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential).
  • A proactive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to get involved on site.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work within food manufacturing environments and travel extensively across the UK.
