Planning/Scheduling Assistant
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 8am-4pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Scheduling Assistant to join our Planning Team. To manage and control the outside cold storage for site & the division, alongside assisting in the day-to-day planning functions and cover divisional meat scheduling.

What you’ll be doing
As a Scheduling Assistant you will play a fundamental role in supporting the Planning team. You will:
- To manage and control the outside coldstore / manage the dolavs for the division- including challenging / balancing stock levels.
- Laise with planning & intake to book in & manage the booking schedule/ process paperwork.
- Holiday cover for the Meat Scheduler, ensuring timely raw material supplies to each factory within division, to agreed specified quality levels and commercially competitive as possible and order/schedule samples from suppliers as required.
- Complete/Manage Raw Material claims/discrepancies and advise accounts
- Complete Customs documentation for EU Raw Material In loads
- Issuing of weekly purchase orders for raw materials & packaging
- Scope to learn other roles within the department
- Complete other duties as and when required, ensuring that the company meets its objectives.

- Computer literacy (Excel/Spreadsheet manipulation).
- Ability to maintain records and write reports.
- Conscientious accuracy and eye for details.
