Packing Team Leader

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join Packing department on Nights as a Team leader.
The key elements of the role are:
- Ensure product traceability is maintained at all times
- To ensure prestart checks conducted, including checking machine damage.
- To guide and train new starters
- To guide and train new starters
- Assist in the delivery of Training of both new and established team members as per production, food safety and technical protocols.
- Ensure the companies hygiene policies are adhered too and maintained at all times.
- Ensure correct storage of the product in the area
- Supervise operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, good housekeeping, discipline and safety standards are maintained.
- To ensure correct recording of KPI, technical documentation
- Ensure all issues communicated to manager in timely manner
- To allocate operatives on work stations
- Champions KPI improvement in the department
- Act on decisions with the required amount of urgency
- Effective management of the team by motivating people and coordinating tasks
- To monitor and ensure correct recording and of downtime, packing area efficiencies, mispacks, overruns and all other packing area associated documentation.
- To ensure correct batch codes, use by dates and appropriate stock routines are followed and are appropriately recorded on the audit sheets
- Ensure Return to work documentation is completed in timely manner
Shift is: 4on 4off from 5pm to 5am
