(Various Locations – Hull, Leeds, Lincoln, Malton, Barnsley, Bury, London)

In a business where many of our senior leadership team started their careers on the factory floor, our Operations Year in Industry Placement offers an excellent opportunity for business-minded individuals to gain hands-on experience in the UK's largest manufacturing sector.

This diverse, factory-based placement programme will provide a strong foundation in all aspects of food manufacturing. No prior industry experience or knowledge is required; we're looking for inquisitive problem-solvers with a willingness to learn and an interest in understanding every stage of the food production process.

Working for a large PLC food producer, you'll gain first-hand experience supplying recognisable products to major UK retailers while developing the skills, knowledge and commercial awareness needed for a successful career in operations. With significant investment being made across our operations network, we're excited to be offering opportunities for students to join our Year in Industry programme at sites across all of our operating regions in 2026.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Operations Placement Student, you'll gain hands-on experience across all areas of a modern food manufacturing operation.
