Occupational Health Nurse
Summary:
Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is recruiting for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our state-of-the-art, purpose-built processing facility in Eye, Suffolk. This opportunity has arisen as our current nurse prepares to retire and comes at an exciting time of continued growth for the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse seeking a new challenge and change of environment to play a crucial role in promoting workplace health and safety by providing guidance on health-related matters, conducting assessments and supporting employee’s wellbeing.
We are open to considering candidates looking for either Full or Part time. Flexibility will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Job requirements of Occupational Health Advisor:
- Review pre-employment health questionnaires and conduct pre-employment health screenings and assessments to ensure employees are fit for work.
Perform periodic health surveillance, including medicals and risk-based health assessments, based on workplace exposure.
Provide adjustments and modifications for individuals with health issues or disabilities.
Support the management of sickness absence cases
Advise on risk assessments where appropriate from a health perspective, related to workplace hazards, including noise, manual handling, and chemical exposure.
Create and maintain trackers to record health surveillance requirements, appointments and outcomes
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in line with legal and professional requirements.
Provide regular reports and analysis of occupational health trends to management, including recommendations for improvements.
Ensure the organisation complies with all relevant health and safety legislation, as well as occupational health standards.
Keep up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations and best practices.
Travel to other sites for training and to provide HR support is required for the completion of your duties
What you will need:
- Be a qualified nurse, registered with the NMC.
- Be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends to support night/evening factory workers.
- Possess strong assessment skills and be confident in communicating with all levels.
