Nights Engineering Supervisor 4 on 4 off shifts, Nights (5:30pm – 5:30am) (Sutton Fields, Hull)
Job Purpose:
In the role of Engineering Supervisor, you will assist the Engineering Manager. You would be responsible for maximising factory machinery efficiencies through an interrelated programme of planned preventative maintenance, efficient reactive maintenance and effective resource utilisation and continuous improvement within the agreed engineering budget allocations.
As Engineering Supervisor you will assist in the achievement of agreed KPI’s in the areas of:
- PPM
- Downtime
- Reactive Maintenance Time
- Control of Budget and Costs
- Control of Capital Expenditure and Costs
- Projects & Critical Path Adherence
Resources: Effectively managing the department within agreed parameters.
People: Having responsibility for a team of people ensuring the team achieves KPI targets through training and efficiency.
Candidate skills/qualifications/attributes:
- A strong food engineering background and qualified with a nationally recognised qualification
- Experience and knowledge of the relevant legislative bodies and instruments is essential
- The ability to be able to manage a team of engineers of various disciplines
- Comprehensive knowledge of plant and machinery manufacturers
- Experience in implementing / working with Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems
- A working knowledge of GMP
- A working knowledge of HACCP
- A Health and Safety qualification would be advantageous
- Experience of electronic and mechanical control systems would be advantageous
- The ability to manage personal development plans for the engineering team
- The ability to handle, communicate and implement change
- Self motivated, flexible and reliable
