Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs and spices, Cranswick are the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and foodservice outlets alike.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mixing Area Managers to join our team on B Shift Nights.

In this role, you will deliver the daily production plan in the most cost-effective manner and in full compliance with current customer/brand product specifications, GMP, food hygiene and health & safety legislation. The supervision and development of a multi skilled, multi-disciplined team operating on shifts.

Main duties include:

  • Assist in the implementation and delivery of key technology projects and processes
  • Moving between Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen and Sausage sites and feedback back to SMT
  • Training end users when implementing projects
  • Creating project documentation/training documentation/videos
  • Liaise with the businesses to gain information to support project delivery
  • Working with the business to further develop their use of technology
  • Undertaking project tasks as required
  • Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
  • Be responsible for various individual work stream deadlines against an overall project plan to ensure projects tasks are completed as planned

Candidate requirements:

  • A strong can-do attitude is essential
  • Team/Line Leader or Supervisor previous experience
  • Proven machine operating experience typically gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
