About the Role
Cranswick Milling operates from our Fridaythorpe Mill, producing and delivering pig feed to our own farms within our parent company Cranswick plc, a progressive FTSE250 Company.
An opportunity has arisen for a Mill Cleaner. The role is based at the Fridaythorpe Mill working within the Mill to keep it clean and tidy and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental compliance as well as quality standards. The role is an independent position and therefor has a flexible shift pattern which can be tailored around your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Use industrial hoover to clean grain dust within the mill
- Complete cleaning records to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Identify and report leaks to the Engineering department to be fixed
- Identify and report areas of improvement to Quality Support and the Pest Controller
- Carry out proofing activity to restrict pest ingress
- Support the Production Manager and Mill Quality Support on hygiene improvement activity
About You
- You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently
- Able to do physical work including manual handling, climbing stairs, using industrial hoover and empty waste skips
- Attention to detail with ensuring areas are cleaned to a good standard
Pay and Benefits
- Full time, permanent position – 40 hours per week
