Cranswick Prepared Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. We are proud to have opened a new, purpose built, breaded chicken factory and have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.

We are looking for Line Leaders to join the site production team in Processing, Packing and High Risk departments at the Prepared Poultry site.

The key elements of the role are to oversee the packaging process and ensure it runs smoothly. That includes tasks like operating the line, loading stock, forming cartons, palletising and labelling. In addition to this but not limited to:

  • Motivate team members to meet production deadlines and goals.
  • Responsible for smooth operation of their assigned production line
  • Train new workers on their station in the assembly line.
  • Assist workers when necessary. Ensure all members of the team follow company policies and safety regulations are being enforced to meet safety compliance.
  • Assure and maintain a high standard of hygiene practice and push for exceptional quality within the quality and hygienic regulatory requirements. In addition, adhere to HACCP and technical protocols, whilst monitoring progress and outcomes of all tasks.
  • Monitor the individual components used for pack-out and replenish as needed to ensure steady flow of production.
  • Verify that proper labels and any requirements for the particular job are being adhered to.
  • Inspect pack-out to ensure quality standards.
  • Complete paperwork/documentation regarding each lot.
  • Monitor production progress and track it.


Key job requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within food manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP and quality standards.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced production environment and achieving production targets.

In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effect the above responsibilities.
