Junior Process Development Technologist

We have got an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Junior Process Development Technologist.
The key elements of the role are:
- Supports NPD & EPD projects from NPD handover through to launch for the Cranswick Prepared Poultry site ensuring products are scaled up effectively to the expectations of our customers.
- Adheres to the site stage and gate process and ensures accurate completion, record keeping and communication to stakeholders throughout the development process.
- Participates in site development and stage & gate meetings to ensure the product detail is accurately communicated to stakeholders and highlights any challenges or considerations for recipes in development.
- Supports the planning and completion of factory trials (including feasibility and factory scale up & validation trials along with packaging and new equipment trials), ordering trial raw materials, capturing and documenting relevant trial data, and writing trial reports.
- Supports with documenting and communicating changes to product formulations and processing parameters during the trailing phase.
- Organise nutritional testing, shelf-life testing and any chemical analysis to test and validate product shelf life and claims.
- Organise and validate organoleptic shelf-life testing, including customer freeze approval.
- Supports with organising validation of customer cooking instructions.
- Supports the launch of new products into the factory, attending pre-production and first production runs and participates in product handover meetings to operations, supporting effective communication about product launches to the wider site team.
The role if Monday - Friday site based.
