Inbound Logis­tics Area Leader (A Nights)

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage is our state-of-the-art facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs, and spices, Cranswick is the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and food service outlets alike.

A rare opportunity has arisen to apply for an Inbound Logistics Area Lead role. As an Inbound Logistics Area Lead, you will be supporting the Inbound Logistics Manager to ensure the effective running of the inbound logistics operations. We are looking for a driven, skilled, and flexible individual to help us ensure continuous and smooth operations in the Inbound department.

Shift: 4on 4off; 18:00-06:00; A Nights

Pay Rate: £19.66 per hour

Main duties include:

• • Supervision day to day of the site-based intake team, supporting the Area Lead in the operation of the area, undertaking duties as directed.
  • Be conversant with the four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site
  • Continually evaluating best practices and making sure that the shift team use those practices in the day-to-day operation. Also, work to share best practices across shifts to make sure they are embedded within the intake team.
  • Effectively supervise and support the intake Area Lead in developing and training the intake teams. Make sure only staff within the Area who are fully trained on the equipment and signed off are operating those items.
  • Ensuring that an efficient, accurate, storage and stock control operation is provided and managed daily basis, managing and investigating all stock variances.
  • Trained to be able to cover for Holidays and Sickness for the Admin Role and Area Lead role.
  • Complete daily Short Interval control meetings, evaluating where we are against the plan and agreeing on actions to make sure that the plans are achieved and implementing those.
  • Undertake any duties as dictated by the intake Area Lead
  • Communicate any stock shortfalls to the area leader and the procurement team.

Candidate Requirements:

• • English/Maths GCSE A* to C or Equivalent
  • Team Leading Qualification
  • Reach & Counterbalance Forklift Licences
