Infra­struc­ture Engineer

Summary

You will be part of a Group IT Infrastructure team that is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure and will provide technical support & guidance across the internal users within the group

Main duties include (but not limited to):

  • Full Lifecycle Management of the Windows Server Estate including Hyper-V hosts
  • Networking troubleshooting/diagnostics – Cisco command line experience preferred
  • Provide a technical escalation route for the Service Desk team
  • Managing and maintaining various monitoring tools to identify problems and vulnerabilities, then working on solutions – e.g., Office 365 Defender, Nessus, PRTG, SentinalOne
  • Create and demonstrate systems enhancements & process documentation to be shared with the ServiceDesk and stored in the internal knowledge base

Requirements, experience and person specification

  • Minimum 3 years experience working with Windows Server and hand-on configuring networks
  • Previous experience with the following would be preferred: Windows Server 2016-2022, Hyper-V, Cisco CCNA, PRTG, Windows AD domain, Azure AD and compute, and Meraki WiFi
  • Good, professional communication skills in person/phone/email
  • Natural aptitude for trouble shooting and problem solving
  • Can use own initiative, work independently with proactive approach
