HR Officer — Hessle

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
About the Role
Cranswick Farming are looking for an HR Officer to join our team based in Hessle. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the fast-paced Farming Division of Cranswick, providing HR generalist support.
As part of our busy and friendly HR team you will play a key role in providing employee relations support to managers across our business; providing consistent advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures. Working within our supportive team, you will plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload. This is a fast-paced working environment, so you must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Main duties to include (but are not limited to):
- Provide first line support and guidance on HR related questions and queries
- To ensure all HR records are fully maintained and held in strict compliance with GDPR and Ethical Trading Requirements.
- Managing the employee life cycle from start to finish
- Collate weekly working hours, holiday and absence information and compile daily clocking reports for Payroll to support the end to end payroll process.
- Be involved with employee engagement activities, including mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
Requirements, experience and person specification:
- A background in a HR function is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Be able to deliver quality and accuracy with great attention to detail.
- Be a pro-active, self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
- UK driving licence.
