Area Team Leader

Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers.

Purpose of the role -to plan, supervise, coordinate and motivate team members for production processes, which include cooking, cooling, all aspects of product packing, map testing, metal detection in addition to certain hygiene regimes / protocols.

The key elements of the role are:

  • Liaise with the Department Manager to identify the correct levels of resources and manage the operation within these agreed parameters
  • Where required, having identified the causes and consequences, change and adjust the production plan in co-operation with the Department Manager, Planning Department to ensure that the most efficient daily production is achieved.
  • To be representative of the companies high standards at all times and to conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
  • To communicate effectively with all colleagues and management.
  • Ensure product trainability is maintained at all times
  • To conduct pre-flight checks, checking the machine speed is set up correctly, no visual damage to the machine
  • To ensure the lines are serviced with the required specification product
  • Ensure the product size reduced and packed to the correct specification (orientation, product size, correct packaging used, etc.)
  • Assist in the delivery of Training of both new and established team members as per production, food safety and technical protocols.
  • Ensure the companies hygiene policies are adhered too and maintained at all times.
  • Ensure correct storage of the product in the area
  • Supervise operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, good housekeeping, discipline and safety standards are maintained.
  • To make sure all are set up machines to correct speeds (NSA, Kronan, Maguirit etc.)
  • To ensure correct recording of KPI, technical documentation
  • To allocate operatives on work stations

Shift is- 4on 4off (5am to 5pm)
