Job Purpose

As an HR Advisor, you will be working within the CPP HR team providing both verbal and administrative support at all levels across the business. Your role will be varied and cover many aspects of HR including supporting the full employee life cycle. As well as administration centered activities you will have the opportunity to get involved in new initiatives and projects being delivered by HR.

Main Duties:

  • All aspects of the recruitment process including authorisation, role details, liaising with agencies, tracking CVs, providing feedback, arranging interviews.
  • Creating adverts for roles and uploading all vacancies to required platforms and managing closing dates.
  • Ensure new starter documents are generated, and a full onboarding process is followed, including creation of electronic employee folders (PXD), Facial Recognition, Induction, CORE Training etc
  • Ensuring leaver documents are generated and exit interviews are completed.
  • Generating relevant documents for probation, job changes e.g. salary increases, promotions etc.
  • Maintaining HR records.
  • Submitting relevant documents to Payroll on a weekly & monthly basis.
  • Managing staff engagement including Making a Difference Awards, Long Service Awards etc.
  • Appraisal tracking and reporting
  • Provide information to managers when requested e.g. holidays, sickness absence, team information on salaries/benefits
  • Provide generalist HR support and advice to managers.
  • KPI and information gathering.
  • Auditing personnel files - ensuring employee files are received when transferring within the business, Right to Work documents, medical questionnaires etc.
  • Carry out and advise on disciplinaries, grievances and performance improvement plans when required.
  • Liaising with Cranswick solicitors on employment law matters.
  • Raising PO’s for HR and recruitment fee invoices.
  • General administrative tasks.
  • Visiting relevant sites when required to build relationships and manage situations.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

  • Group and site induction.
  • Experience working within a HR team, including dealing with disciplinary’s, grievances and other employee-related policies and processes
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent at building relationships with all levels of staff and recruitment agencies
  • Challenging nature
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages and ability to navigate relevant systems
  • CIPD Level 5, or working towards
