About the Graduate Group Energy Engineer Role
Our Graduate Group Energy Engineer programme is an exciting and focused scheme designed to develop future energy and environmental specialists at Cranswick. Through structured site visits, shadowing opportunities, and targeted learning modules, you will work closely with site engineering teams and Group functions to gain practical insight into utilities, submetering, energy data analysis, and efficiency improvement. Supported by expert mentorship and tailored training, the programme will equip you with the skills and experience required to support energy reduction and decarbonisation initiatives across the business.
What are we looking for?
- A degree (or working towards one) in an engineering discipline such as energy, mechanical, electrical, environmental, or similar (essential).
- The ability to adapt quickly in a varied role, managing multiple projects, priorities, and changing requirements across the business.
- Strong analytical and engineering problem‑solving skills, with an interest in data, systems, and performance improvement.
- An ability to integrate effectively into a small team, contributing positively while also being comfortable working independently.
- Good networking and communication skills, with the confidence to build working relationships with site engineering teams and stakeholders.
- A placement year or relevant industrial experience is highly beneficial, but not essential.
- Knowledge or experience (academic or professional) in areas such as energy systems, utilities, manufacturing processes, or sustainability is desirable.
- A proactive, resilient attitude and willingness to travel to sites as required.
