Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen is supplying high quality cooked product to a number of market leading customers. The goal of our food manufacturing site, Cranswick Gourmet Kitchen, is to produce quality cooked food for market leading customers. Job Purpose:

To positively affect all aspects of the manufacture, storage, and delivery of the Gourmet Kitchen products, to meet the highest levels of customer expectations while working within the budget parameters set by the board of directors and in line with company policies and all legal parameters.

Main Duties:

  • Site Operation: Responsible for influencing and managing all aspects of the Site Operations from delivering best quality products and satisfying customer service requirements, to creating and promoting proactive health & Safety, food safety and GMP Culture
  • Resources: Identify the correct levels of resources for the site operations and manage the operation within these agreed parameters
  • People: Create and sustain an environment which inspires and motivates all site employees to achieve the company business objectives individually and collectively within a strong team and development culture
  • Communication: To communicate effectively and be flexible in approach at all levels of the business and to have the ability to convey business ideas and share information most appropriately to meet different audience needs. Recognise the need for and apply a range of influencing styles that contribute to the development and implementation of ideas within the business environment
  • Factory Environment: Oversee and influence the development of manufacturing process through delivery of cost savings, efficiency, quality, GMP improvements. Proactively recognising weak spots within the production environment and proactively addressing them
  • Internal / External Customer Service: Through the astute guidance of the management team, ensure an exceptional level of internal/external customer service is always provided
  • Anything considered a reasonable request by the company directors

Experience and Person Specification:

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent within a food technology discipline
  • With at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
