FLT Stores Operative ‘

Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs, and spices, Cranswick is the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and food service outlets alike.

We are looking for an FLT Operatives to work in the Stores department to ensure the timely, safe and efficient transfer of goods by Forklift into and out of the Lazenby’s site and safe storage of dry goods to meet the needs of the business.

Hours - 4 on off 06:00-18:00

Pay - £15.64 per hour

Main duties include (but not limited to):

• Unload delivery vehicles. Under the direction of the Stores Manager/Team Leader, ensure all goods delivered to the warehouse are routinely checked to verify that the quantity received matches the delivery documentation.
• To note the delivery documentation with any discrepancies, damages and quality issues, ensuring that only goods fit for purpose are receipted.
• Under the direction of the Stores Manager/Team Leader, ensure goods received are transferred to their designated storage areas and stowed in a manner which facilitates good stock rotation and stock is indeed rotated.
• Under the direction of the Stores Manager/Team Leader, ensure stocks are stored in a safe manner with due regard to racking loads and evacuation routes.
• Under the direction of the Stock & Asset Manager/Stores Team Leader, ensure ingredients containing allergens. Gluten free and organic ingredients are stored in their designated area and are labelled accordingly.

The successful candidate must:

• Reach & Counterbalance FLT Licences

• Possess good communication skills with excellent levels of written and spoken English

• Experience in Warehousing or Picking
• Positive attitude
• Experience in FMCG/food industry is beneficial
