Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Equipment Controller Chargehand, responsible for the efficient and accurate control of all equipment used in the factory.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Manage the control and monitoring of all weights and invoices for the Despatch of products
  • Production of accurate and appropriate Despatch Notes
  • Develop communication with sales and production personnel across the site ensuring clear channels of communication and sharing of appropriate information
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
  • Conduct yourself in a responsible and courteous manner at all times
  • Check and de-hire supermarket trays, pallets and dolavs
  • Monitor dwell charges for excess equipment
  • Order trays every week ensuring production have adequate stocks
  • Check tray balances and deliveries
  • Count all equipment in the yard daily
  • Any other duties as required by the Despatch Manager
  • Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service

You Will Have:

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar role – equipment/stock controller – beneficial but not essential
  • Comfortable working to targets
  • Previous experience in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
  • Strong communication skills
