Job requirements of Environmental coordinator:
We are looking for an Environmental coordinator to support with the development and delivery of environment management systems being compliant
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm (Flexibility and weekends may be required).
Duties
- Delivering environmental and sustainability strategies
- Assist in facilitating compliance with applicable legislation and customers standards.
- Be the first point of contact for all Environmental issues
- Assist in the maintenance of company systems to ensure compliance with Environmental Permits
- Prepare site plans, drainage layouts, odour and noise management plans
- Assist in the submission of quarterly and annual reports to the regulators.
- Conduct internal environmental audits against environmental legislation and customer standards
- Encourage pollution prevention, energy efficiency and waste reduction across all aspects of the business and identify opportunities for improvement.
What you will need:
- A levels.
- Educated to degree level is desirable or equivalent work experience.
- IEMA Membership preferred but not essential.
- Successful applicants must be willing to work towards membership of a professional institute e.g. IEMA. Professional qualification in Environmental Management / Agriculture.
- Environmental Awareness.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Working independently, taking decisions and problem solving.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle essential, as you will be travelling between Cranswick Fresh Poultry sites.
