Engi­neer­ing Supervisor

Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and leading innovators in our industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers.

Main purpose of the role is to assist the Maintenance Manager with the maintenance strategy to achieve site and business goals including proactive and planned preventative maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance.

The key elements of the role are:

  • To comply with relevant Engineering specifications, and Environmental, Health & Safety policies and current legislation.
  • Complete/task engineering workload in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and Operations colleagues.
  • Facilitation of any staff members involved with operation of the plant has received the appropriate information and instruction as per the manufacturer’s guidance and advice.
  • To adhere to Clean as you go mentality. Reduce waste / shrinkage and additional costs where appropriate by protecting both company product stock and equipment in the most efficient and appropriate manner at all times.
  • To drive improvements, by working with all departments, to reduce complaints and other non-conformances
  • To ensure any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager.
  • To ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • To respond to breakdowns in a time efficient manner
  • Any other responsibilities commensurate with the post. Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors
  • Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 or Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order SI 1978/1039
  • To respect and honor the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.
  • To work in an Environmental and Energy efficient manner and to respect and honor the sentiment of the Cranswick Environmental and Energy policies and Second Nature principles.
  • Where there are any Environmental Permit conditions in place, to ensure that where you have direct influence on these areas, then these are adhered to within the required limits.
  • To work in partnership with the Senior Management team on site to be part of the Culture of the site which drives Food Safety, H&S, Ethical, Environmental and Energy behaviours.

Shift is- 4on 4off 6am to 6pm
