Engi­neer­ing Com­pli­ance Offi­cer Mon­day ‑Fri­day 7.00am to 3.30pm

Job Purpose:

Compliance - ensuring the site engineering compliance is kept up to date. Scheduling services/inspections in as well as managing the filing of all compliance records.

PUWER - be PUWER trained. Carry out PUWER assessments on any new machinery coming on site if required as well as assist in getting current assets PUWER assessed to keep site compliant.

Main purpose and responsibilities of the role -

  • Support contractors to maintain compliance with the procedures and standards.
  • Examine and assess all permits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with site and legal requirements.
  • Work with Project Management team to ensure contractors adhere to all site procedures and agreed standards
  • Conduct walkaway audits throughout activities and for complete works
  • Ensure engineering compliance files are up to date.
  • Be part of the engineering PUWER team – carry out PUWER assessments when required.
  • Ensure Policy and Regulation Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safe systems of work at all times.
  • Fulfil the role of facilitator inspector conducting audits across both factory and site services
  • To co-ordinate the issue of all Permits to Work (PTW) for all site works requiring a PTW.
  • Ensure compliance with site PTW’s.
  • Ensure Everyone adheres to Cranswick Contractor Control guidance document.
  • Ensure Legislative Statutory Compliance is scheduled to remain compliant.
  • All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods.
  • Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and
  • Where there are any Environmental Permit conditions in place, to ensure that where you have direct influence on these areas, then these are adhered to within the required limits.

Requirements, experience, and person specification:

  • Group and site induction.
  • Previous experience of working in a FMCG manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience of working in an Engineering Function
  • IOSH H&S
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Understanding of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Understanding and application of hazard identification and near miss reporting.
  • Accident investigation training.
  • Willing to undergo training
