Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers. Now with 22 sites nationwide, Cranswick are dedicated to growing and developing our team.
Our Preston site is growing! We are on the look out for a Stock Controller to become an integral part of our team! You would be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of despatch between shifts through the accurate control of stocks and associated paperwork.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Liaise with Despatch Supervisors regarding customer daily requirements and shorts to enable the fulfilment of all orders
- Ensure the shorts sheet is correctly completed and maintained in a timely manner
- Ensure the relevant stock control systems are maintained accurately and in a timely manner
- Keep the Retail area full and the Loading bay/Marshall area clean and tidy at all times
- Conduct accurate daily stocks when required
- Inform the relevant Supervisors of any stock discrepancies without delay
- Ensure accurate and complete stock records are collated and maintained at all times
- Rotate stock in the Marshall Area and Retail chiller in accordance to the correct rotation patterns and procedures
- Assist the despatch teams in any areas requiring assistance in order to meet delivery targets
- Complete any reasonable requests made of you by management
- Liaise with colleagues in other departments to ensure the throughput of all products in a timely and efficient manner
- Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
- Highlight areas of improvement
- Assume responsibility for the management of activities which ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality
