DESPATCH OPERATIVE
As a Despatch Operative, you will play a leading part within the team to help achieve the daily plan whilst adhering to processes and procedures. Within this role you will be factory-based handling packaged and boxed meat products in preparation for products to be despatched from the business.
You will:
- Ensure that all customer orders are picked, labelled and secure so that they are presented to our customers to the highest possible standard as required.
- Assist when required in the loading and off-loading of vehicles and the movement of stock or equipment around the site.
- Ensure that any issues that could result in a shortage of stock and/or the timely despatch of products to customers are reported immediately.
- Maintain a clean and tidy area adhering to safety and hygiene requirements.
- Complete any other tasks required as requested by management.
*Please note that this role may require heavy lifting and the factory is a chilled environment*

What we need from you
Essential
We’re looking for a proactive team player, with strong attention to detail and key time management skills. Whilst we are not looking for direct experience, our ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, be a strong communicator and the flexibility to adapt to new challenges.
Desirable
A reach truck/counterbalance licence and previous order picking experience would be advantageous however we are willing to train the right person.
