Despatch Administrator
Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Co. (Lazenby’s) is our fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull. Using only the best cuts of British pork, fresh herbs and spices, Cranswick are the UK’s leading producer of gourmet sausages and burgers, supplying major retailers and foodservice outlets alike.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Despatch Administrator to join our busy Despatch team. The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective running of any administrative work within the department working Monday to Friday 18:00-03:00.
Pay rate: £15.40 per hour
Main duties include (but not limited to):
- Production of accurate and appropriate Despatch Notes
- Maintaining the loading of orders on to NAV, ensuring that all information is kept up to date
- Checking all loading/transport information prior to use, ensuring that all details are correct
- Updating and maintaining the booking purchases and returns spreadsheet
- To develop communication with sales and production personnel across the site, ensuring clear channels of communication and sharing of appropriate information
- Answer incoming calls and deal with any queries
- Update the supermarket pick sheets to ensure correct pallets are provided to outside hauliers
- Amend supermarket orders when account managers request this
- Manually raise sales orders in NAV from faxes, emails and sales sheets
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out
Requirements, experience and person specification
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Accurate with high attention to detail
- Organised with the ability to prioritise
- Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
